Individual Therapy Options

If you are looking for individual therapy options for staff members, Sensus can help with that too.  We have a diverse team of qualified and accredited Psychotherapists who can assist staff members and provide them with 1-1 evidence based treatment and support.  Therapy sessions are offered via telephone or video call. Please enquire about face-face options as these are possible but limited.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

CBT is an excellent treatment for a wide range of common mental health problems including Depression and Anxiety Disorders. CBT helps patients to initially understand their mental health by providing them with a 'map' of their problems. This is often referred to as a formulation. This formulation is then used to guide therapy and sessions include a combination of talking and practical skills based exercises. The ultimate aim of treatment is to increase a patients understanding of their own mental health problems so that they can manage and overcome their difficulties long term. In effect making them their 'own therapist'. Sessions can be offered via video link or telephone. All practitioners are accredited with the BABCP.

Counselling

Counselling is a pure talking therapy and is an excellent choice for those who have suffered with loss, bereavement or low self esteem. Sessions allow patients to disclose difficult issues in a safe and confidential space. Patients are encouraged to lead sessions with their own content and there is a strong emphasis on self exploration. All Counsellors are registered with the BACP.

EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR) is an alternative to classic therapies such as Counselling or CBT. It works by helping people to process trauma memories and is especially helpful in the treatment of conditions such as PTSD. EMDR can also be used with other difficulties and has been shown to be effective in the treatment of intense fears, phobias, low self esteem, Depression and OCD.

What our clients say

Nicki

I had CBT with Lauren and found the sessions incredibly helpful. Lauren is so easy to talk to and I felt listened to and understood. I now feel I can control my anxiety on my own. Thanks Lauren!
